We have a unique opportunity with one of our leading clients who specialise within the marine, textile and food industry. Due to natural growth and continued success, we are recruiting for a Technical Team Leader and Client Management candidate.

Due to the level of technical support, language and product you will be working with you must come from a transferable background such as engineering or specifically chemical engineering.

You will provide outstanding technical support for marine, textile, industrial, and food grade customer and support across business strategy implementation, looking at sales growth opportunities an achieving profitable sales growth. In addition to supporting a team of three productive, capable individuals.

As the Technical Team Leader and Client Relationship Manager you will be responsible for all client relationships and communications and developing you team. This is a cross fundamental role integral to wider structure and additional teams.

Infrequent travel is required across the UK and to international trade shows and client meetings. You must be able to drive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide product support and advice to customers and sales agents globally.
  • Develop detailed product information to support value propositions.
  • Develop solutions to complex customer problems with incomplete data sets.
  • Build relationships with key technical decision-makers and influencers within the customer base.
  • Maintain awareness of global technical developments within Classification Societies, regulatory bodies, industry bodies, and OEMs.
  • Provide coaching and training for the sales team on specific application areas.
  • Provide techno-commercial input to the NPD process and work with R&D to link customer needs with internal development.
  • Support the Technical Service Team with condition monitoring test report analysis.
  • Mentor and coach the team to ensure they are trained, developed, competent, motivated, and flexible.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree level or equivalent in chemistry, engineering, or other technical disciplines.
  • Strong technical, engineering, or tribological background.
  • Knowledge of the marine and textile industry.
  • Application and product knowledge related to marine, textile, industrial, and food grade markets.
  • Good commercial acumen.
  • Full driving license and willingness to travel globally.
