We are seeking a skilled CAD Engineer to join a dynamic team in Leeds.

In this role, you will utilize the latest Autodesk software to produce high-quality 3D graphics and 2D deliverables for a variety of underground civil engineering projects. You will be responsible for preparing construction drawings for design, tender, and as-built documentation, including steelwork detailing, reinforced concrete detailing, and general arrangements based on input from project engineers.

This position requires a proactive individual who can work both independently and collaboratively, managing workloads effectively to meet project deadlines.

YOUR NEW ROLE
  • Produce, amend, and maintain 3D CAD model data within a common data environment, working independently or as part of a project team

  • Develop and refine 3D modelling and engineering skills to enhance project outcomes

  • Ensure CAD models comply with internal QA systems, client/project-specific standards, and industry-standard BIM procedures

  • Assist in the preparation of scheme designs with appropriate supervision

  • Support senior engineering design staff with project requirements

  • Identify and resolve spatial constraints and arrangement issues

  • Work alongside the CAD Manager to ensure the quality of modelling work meets the required standards

ABOUT YOU
  • Degree or HND (or equivalent) in a built environment discipline

  • Minimum of 3 years experience using Autodesk products

  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D & 3D and Civils 3D

  • Experience in steelwork detailing and reinforced concrete (RC) detailing

  • Previous experience working in a construction or engineering environment

  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with internal and external stakeholders

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify alternative solutions

  • Commitment to maintaining CAD standards and procedures

  • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail

  • Familiarity with 3D modelling packages such as Revit, Rhino, and 3Ds Max (Advantageous)

SALARY AND BENEFITS

  • Basic salary up to £45,000 depending upon experience and qualifications

  • 31 days annual leave (inc BH)
