The Project
As an experienced Electrical Project Manager; you will be overseeing the electrical packages on a residential refurbishment project in Leeds with an overall build value in excess of £20m. You will be responsible for liaising with engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure the smooth execution of electrical installations while adhering to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;
- SMSTS
- Valid CSCS / JIB Card
- First Aid - Desirable
It is also essential that you hold the experience below;
- Proven industry expertise with a track record of successfully managing electrical packages on projects in excess of £3m
- Extensive background within the industry with at least 5 years of experience working in a similar position for a leading contractor or subcontractor

Duties
- Ensure site health and safety
- Provide expert electrical knowledge
- Management of electrical supervisors
- Overall responsibility of electrical workers on site
- Address issues that may impact project deadlines
- Perform comprehensive project reviews and evaluations
- Oversee project expenditures to ensure budget compliance
- Develop detailed cost estimates and budgets for the project
- Address any client concerns or issues promptly and professionally
- Recognise possible risks and formulate strategies to mitigate them
- Working closely and directly reporting to Visiting Contracts Manager
- Track project timelines and ensure compliance with the project schedule
- Uphold consistent and efficient communication with all project contractors
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
- Create detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
- Supervise daily project activities and ensure all tasks are advancing according to plan
- Determine and assign essential resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials
- Perform routine inspections and audits to verify adherence to industry standards and regulations
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and designers to develop the electrical system's blueprint
- Guide and inspire project teams, ensuring clarity on roles and responsibilities for all team members
- Offer consistent project updates and progress reports to clients, management, and other relevant parties
- Ensure precise and current project documentation, encompassing plans, schedules, budgets, and reports
- Ensuring electrical projects are completed efficiently, safely and within the defined scope, time and budget
- Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
- Establish and uphold quality control standards to guarantee that project deliverables meet the specified requirements
