My client, a leading telecoms company, is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Specialist to support and implement a complex IP migration programme. This is a hybrid working role, based in Leeds, with a 3-month contract and is inside IR35.

As an Infrastructure Specialist, you will collaborate with infrastructure engineers and on-site specialists to configure and deploy network and computing components within the client's platform. You will also support the implementation of technical solutions for both customers and colleagues, working in cross-functional teams to address inter-system issues and create effective technical solutions across various domains.

Skills Required:

Mandatory:

  • Strong IP networking skills, including device roles, subnets, and experience with device management and installation.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of Windows Server (e.g. Active Directory, DNS, server management).
  • Familiarity with Oracle databases (e.g. SQL, PL/SQL, administration).
  • CISCO accreditation is desirable.
  • Basic programming skills (e.g. Bash scripting, Perl).
  • Tenacious problem-solving abilities, with confidence in supporting production systems.
  • Experience with Linux operating systems and scripting.

Security Clearance - SC level or eligible to go through the clearance process
