Role & Responsibilities

As a Principal Engineer, you will play a critical role in delivering temporary and permanent works design and checking tasks with full autonomy. You will lead complex projects, mentor junior engineers, and ensure that all work meets statutory regulations, Eurocode standards, and best industry practices. You will collaborate with internal teams and external clients, ensuring the successful execution of projects in terms of quality, budget, and deadlines.

Key responsibilities include:

路Independently delivering temporary and permanent works designs and method development tasks.
路Managing project lifecycles, from initial brief to final delivery.
路Providing technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
路Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
路Promoting best practices in engineering, quality, and commercial frameworks.

Requirements

路BEng (Hons) degree in engineering (structural, civil, or related fields).
路CEng MICE or MIStructE (or near chartered considered)
路Minimum 7 years' relevant post-graduate experience.
路Strong knowledge of Eurocodes and design software relevant to temporary and permanent works.
路Ability to manage and deliver complex engineering projects.
路Excellent communication and leadership skills.
