Principle Civil Engineer - Water

The Role
I am currently working with a global leader in sustainable engineering, architecture, and environmental consulting. Due to a strong pipeline of work within the water sector they are currently looking for a Principal Civil Engineer with water experience to join their team in their Leeds office.
As a Principal Civil Engineer, you will work on exciting projects with major water companies across the UK and Ireland, contributing to delivering AMP8 projects in Yorkshire and providing outline to a large range of projects across Clean/Waste Infrastructure and Non-Infrastructure programmes.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Ability to work across a project lifecycle in asset planning / strategy, concept design, outline design and detailed design.
- Work in a variety of project areas within the water sector, including clean water treatment and networks, wastewater treatment, wastewater networks, flooding, and urban drainage.
- You’ll be responsible for the project’s civil engineering design.
- Lead the civil engineering team on projects and work alongside our overall project design leads to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Extensive design experience in the UK water industry.
- Educated to a degree level in Civil Engineering
- Ideally hold Chartered status with a relevant professional body (ICE or CIWEM).
- Experience delivering community focused projects.
- Experience of working in a client facing role
