About the OpportunityMy client is a leading, employee-owned firm specialising in Civil and Structural Engineering, providing expert consultancy services across various sectors within the built environment. Due to an expanding client base and increasing project demands, they are currently seeking a Project Structural Engineer to join their team in Leeds.

In this role, you will play an integral part in project delivery, working alongside a dedicated team of engineers, technicians, and clients to successfully execute projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate within a team of engineers and technicians to deliver civil and structural engineering projects.
  • Coordinate the delivery of building structures, drainage, and highway elements across projects.
  • Take responsibility for the analysis and design of overall building structures using structural design and analysis software.
  • Assist in coordinating CAD/Revit technicians to ensure that design information is correctly integrated into production documentation.
  • Attend internal and external project design meetings, contributing to discussions and problem-solving.
  • Prepare correspondence, technical reports, and other project documentation as required.
  • Regularly visit sites and attend site meetings to ensure projects are progressing smoothly and meeting client requirements.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years' post-graduate experience in Structural Engineering.
  • Actively working towards achieving Chartered or Incorporated status with a professional body (e.g., ICE or IStructE).
  • Solid understanding and experience with structural analysis and design across multiple materials.
  • Proficiency with structural design software such as TEDDS, Tekla Structural Designer, Fastrack Portal Frame, CADS Wall Panel, P Frame, and MasterSeries Retaining Wall is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both colleagues and clients.
  • Full UK driving licence.
