Site Investigation Engineer

This role can be in Leeds or Manchester

Are you a driven and passionate engineer ready to take your career to the next level? Join our well-established national team as a Site Investigation Engineer, where you'll be at the forefront of impactful projects across the North of England.

In this role, you will oversee ground investigation projects, focusing on geotechnical and geo-environmental aspects. You'll engage in hands-on work like soil and rock logging, groundwater and gas monitoring, and site supervision while liaising with key stakeholders. You will receive tailored mentoring, professional development support, and the opportunity to progress within a dynamic team of industry experts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise ground investigations and ensure the highest geotechnical and environmental standards.
  • Conduct soil and rock logging to BS5930 standards.
  • Monitor environmental factors, including groundwater and gas.
  • Manage subcontractors and ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Collaborate with industry professionals and stakeholders to drive projects forward.

Skills & Experience:

  • Degree in geology or a related field.
  • Experience with soil and rock logging, site supervision, and environmental monitoring.
  • Strong communication skills and report-writing ability.
  • Understanding of health, safety, and environmental management.
  • Full driving license and willingness to travel to sites (occasional overnight stays may be required).

Desirable Qualifications:

  • CSCS card.
  • SMSTS, Cat and Genny, and First Aid training.
  • Familiarity with Openground software and preparing health & safety documentation.
