Are you a skilled Structural Engineer seeking a design role in a fast-paced, engineering-focused environment? We are working with a well-established manufacturing machinery company located just outside Leeds, who are looking for a capable and driven professional to join them for a 3-6 month contract.

About the Role:

As a Structural Engineer, you'll be responsible for the structural design and analysis of our bespoke machinery and equipment. You’ll collaborate with mechanical design and production teams to ensure all structures are safe, robust, and fit for purpose, in line with the latest industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out structural analysis and calculations for heavy-duty machinery and fabricated structures.
  • Design and review steel frameworks, welded assemblies, and support systems.
  • Produce accurate technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Liaise with design, manufacturing, and quality teams throughout project lifecycles.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant UK and international standards

What We’re Looking For:

  • Degree-qualified in Structural, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Practical experience in structural design, preferably within a machinery or heavy engineering setting.
  • Competent in structural analysis software (e.g. STAAD)
  • Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD or Inventor
  • Good knowledge of structural materials, especially metals and welding practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
