Are you an experienced Building Surveyor looking for an exciting new opportunity?
Blueprint Recruitment are seeking a skilled Building Surveyor with experience in Condition Surveys to join a reputable Engineering consultancy on a long-term contract basis. This role focuses on conducting detailed surveys on hotels across Leeds and the surrounding areas. The successful candidate will have a background in structural assessments and experience in the commercial and hospitality sectors, If selected, you will be required to attend the Leeds office one day per week.
Our client is an established firm of Civil, Structural and Geotechnical Consulting Engineers with extensive experience of Railways, Buildings, Roads, Bridges and Waterways. Due to their increasing workload, they are looking for a motivated Building Surveyor to join their dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct condition surveys on a variety of hotel properties, identifying any issues related to the structure, building fabric, and maintenance needs.
- Provide detailed and accurate reports on findings, highlighting areas of concern and making recommendations for necessary remedial works.
- Liaise with property managers and hotel operators to ensure minimal disruption during the survey process.
- Regularly attend the Leeds office (1 day per week) to provide updates and review progress with the project team.
- Travel to various hotel sites, including occasional overnight stays (approximately once every two weeks).
Requirements:
- Proven experience in building surveying, with a strong focus on condition surveys.
- Solid knowledge of structures and experience within the commercial or hospitality markets.
- Ability to produce high-quality survey reports and recommendations.
- Strong communication skills, able to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel across the region, with a valid UK driving license.
