Surveyor for Right To Buy Properties - Graduate / Junior level

We are seeking a skilled Surveyor to join our team, focusing on council houses and flats being purchased through the Right To Buy process. This role requires precision in surveying and preparing detailed plans for various property types, including houses, cottages, and flats.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Houses: Prepare sale plans showing the extents of garden space, details of boundaries, and assigning responsibility for maintaining those boundaries.
  • Cottages: Similar to houses but includes preparing plans for two flats, allocating garden space and external stores for each tenant, and indicating the specific location of each flat within the property.
  • Shared Passageways: In addition to regular house details, include internal measurements to confirm the extents of the first floor over the passageway.
  • Flats: Prepare two plans; one similar to the cottage plan and an internal floor plan detailing the shape, size, and name of each room, stairs, doors, and assumed wall thicknesses.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Surveyor, ideally with experience in residential properties, OR a recent surveyor graduate with the right knowledge to be put into practice.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in creating detailed plans.
  • Ability to identify and measure specific property features such as retaining walls, shared accesses, and unclear boundaries.
  • Proficiency in using surveying tools and software.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with valuers and other stakeholders.
