I am actively seeking a skilled and confident Civil Technician to join a successful and busy Multidisciplinary Structural and Civil Engineering Consultancy in Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual to work on a diverse range of projects across multiple sectors, including retail, logistics, rail, residential, commercial, and renewables.

Qualifications & Experience for this Civil Technician:

  • A degree in Civil & Structural Engineering is essential.
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in civil engineering design, particularly in infrastructure for the built environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Key Responsibilities for this Civil Technician include:

  • Assist engineers and technicians in producing engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Civils 3D.
  • Develop AutoCAD models for various schemes.
  • Prepare and review basic engineering calculations.
  • Conduct initial quality checks on your own work as well as on junior team members' outputs.
  • Contribute to solving design problems and offering practical solutions.
  • Ensure work is completed within agreed timelines.
  • Collaborate with statutory bodies such as Water Companies, the Environmental Agency, and County Roads Departments.
  • Maintain high-quality and consistent technical output, including drawings and reports.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, contractors, and other designers, offering professional advice and guidance.
