Your new companyA well known and established building consultancy with offices across Leeds, Skipton, and London are looking for a commercial building surveyor to join their team. Based in the Leeds office, you will be joining an already established commercial team. If you are looking for a business where the directors are on the shop floor and there is a proven track record of internal promotion and career progression, then this is the company for you. Your new roleAs a commercial building surveyor within the team, you need to be able to demonstrate that you can prepare and submit applications for consent to local authority planning and building control departments, fire officers, licencing justices, freeholders, etc., as required, and also be aware of the regulations for the Building Safety Act. Contract Administration of various contract types, predominantly JCT, will also be an essential part of the role. What you'll need to succeedTo be considered for the role, you will need to hold a relevant Building Surveying degree with strong experience in the following:An ability to communicate confidently with a range of clientsAbility to work within a team environment, but also be capable of working independentlyExperience of building relationships with new and existing clients.Undertake Party Wall Award instructionsCDM/Principal Designer RoleCost estimatesSchedules of Dilapidations and negotiationsGood Auto CAD SkillsBuilding surveys for various purposesWhat you'll get in returnIn return, you will get:A competitive salary depending on your experience. 23 days holiday plus a Christmas closure.
