Our mission is to create thriving communities where residents feel secure and supported. Role Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Compliance Fire Officer to join our team. In this crucial role, you will ensure that all our properties comply with fire safety regulations and standards. Reporting to the Compliance & Facilities Manager and working alongside another Fire Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for conducting regular inspections, identifying potential risks, and implementing effective fire safety measures.Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive fire safety inspections across all properties.
  • Ensure compliance with current fire safety legislation and regulations.
  • Cyclical checks of fire detection and warning systems, emergency lighting, smoke vents (AOV's) and firefighting equipment
  • Develop and implement fire safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff and residents on fire safety practices.
  • Liaise with local fire authorities and other relevant bodies.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and compliance status.
  • Respond promptly to fire safety concerns and incidents.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a fire safety or compliance role.
  • A nationally recognised qualification in relation to fire safety or a willingness to undertake training in this area.
  • In-depth knowledge of fire safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to manage budgets and operate tight budgetary control
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full Valid UK Driving Licence

  • Essential car user allowance (approx. £2000 per annum)
