Senior DevOps Engineer
Leeds (Hybrid - 2 days a week in the office)
Up to £70,000 + 5% annual bonus
A growing software company specializing in building innovative cloud products for enterprise businesses is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer. The team is dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions that drive efficiency and scalability for clients, primarily within the AWS space. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS, Terraform, ECS, GitLab, CodePipelines, and the ELK stack. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure, ensuring the reliability and performance of services. You will be building platforms for some of the world’s largest companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure on AWS.
- Build Terraform modules from the ground up, utilising infrastructure as code best practices.
- Manage container orchestration using ECS.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and CodePipelines depending on the project.
- Monitor and troubleshoot system performance using mainly ELK stack.
- Ensure security best practices are followed across all environments
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior DevOps engineers.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer or similar role within the AWS stack.
- Strong proficiency in Terraform.
- Hands-on experience with ECS or Docker.
- Proficient in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab. The business can show you CodePipelines once you get there!
- Experience with the ELK stack for logging and monitoring.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
