Punch Centre Operator

Temp to Perm role, £13.19p/hr, 39hrs per week, Days

LEEDS

I am looking for a Punch Centre Operator to work for one of my Manufacturing and Engineering clients based near to Yeadon, Leeds on the day shift.

Working within the Sheet Metal Department, the successful candidate must have previous experience working as a Punch Centre Operator or have previous Sheet Metal experience. Day to day duties will include:

-To supply work to press brakes in low volume cell

-Ability to download programmes

-Correct ordering of steel requirements for programmes

-Tool changes when required

-Identifying parts to drawing’s

-Any other ad hoc duties as required 

Key skills required for this role include:

-Previous Punch Centre experience is essential

-Team Player

-Must be able to work on own initiative

-Good communication skills

-Quality conscious

-Proven track record of working with quality initiatives

-Knowledge of manual handling techniques as the role will involve heavy lifting

Training will be provided for the right applicant with less experience, to develop the skills and knowledge required for the position.

Day shifts are 6am to 2.30pm from Mon to Thurs with an 11.45am finish on a Friday. The role is advertised as Temp to Perm and with a starting Pay Rate of £13.19p/hr. Overtime will be available during busy periods paid at time + ½.
