My client is a leading provider of electrical services for large-scale infrastructure projects. We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager to oversee electrical installations and maintenance for a major water project across multiple sites in North England. This is an exciting opportunity to manage critical electrical work in the water industry, with all travel and accommodation expenses fully covered.

Job Description:
As the Electrical Site Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the electrical operations on various sites involved in a major water infrastructure project. You will supervise electrical installations, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and coordinate the efforts of electricians, subcontractors, and other trades. This role will require travel to multiple sites across North England, and the company will cover all travel and accommodation expenses.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the electrical works on-site for water infrastructure projects, including treatment plants, pumping stations, and associated systems.
  • Supervise electrical installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities, ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Lead and coordinate the electrical teams on-site, providing guidance, support, and technical direction.
  • Ensure electrical installations comply with all relevant codes, regulations, and project specifications.
  • Liaise with the Project Manager and other key stakeholders to track progress, resolve issues, and ensure the project is on schedule and within budget.
  • Review electrical drawings, method statements, and risk assessments to ensure all work is planned and executed safely and effectively.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to assess the quality of electrical work and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any electrical issues that arise on-site, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Maintain detailed records of electrical work, inspections, progress reports, and site conditions.
  • Ensure that all electrical teams are fully equipped with the necessary tools, PPE, and training to perform their tasks safely and efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • Valid ECS card
  • SMSTS
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Site Manager or in a senior electrical management role, ideally within the water or large infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and instrumentation used in water treatment and pumping systems.
  • Extensive experience in managing electrical teams and coordinating electrical work across multiple sites.
  • In-depth understanding of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to multiple project sites across North England.
