My client is a leading construction interior specialist sub-contractor working alongside blue chip contractors on some of the most prestigious commercial office interiors projects throughout the UK.

The Bid Manager Role:

The Bid Manager will orchestrate the creation of bid proposal solutions ensuring compliance with key Client requirements and highlighting company value propositions.

The Bid Manager will co-ordinate all parties involved in the bid process to ensure everyone is aware of the level of contribution expected within the proposed deadlines. They will ensure all timelines are met and that the bid submitted is as complete and accurate as possible, whilst also best reflecting services and abilities.

The Bid Manager is responsible for the quality of all aspects of the bid, including written documentation and presentations and ensuring all bid documentation is clear, concise and compelling. The Bid Manager must also source and co-ordinate design input to ensure the visual standard of all documentation and presentation material is first class and engaging to the client.

In conjunction with the above, the Bid Manager will work in partnership with the Bid Coordinator and the project Commercial Lead developing internal bid proposal structures reviewing and editing previously written content where necessary, working with other bid team members in the production of written bid responses and presentations in line with deadlines. The role will involve writing content for use in the bid response, presentations and all supporting documentation, ensuring a cohesive and consistent approach.

The Successful Bid Manager:

The ideal Bid Manager should be highly motivated, innovative, customer focused and have a can do attitude.

They should be an experienced manager, able to motivate and inspire others; able to obtain a high level of work from the Bid Team ensuring all deadlines are met efficiently and that the bid is of the highest quality possible.

The Bid Team will be comprised of a variety of different personnel, including those seconded from other departments of the business.

It is vital that the Bid Manager is able to supply effective interim line management to these contributors.

Excellent communications skills are a must, both verbal and written the importance of being able to converse and liaise with all bid contributors is key and being able to speak their language is vital to get the most from everyone, ensuring the bid is as good as it possibly can be.

Any bid should be thorough and accurate therefore the Bid Manager should be a highly capable individual, with a keen eye for detail, consistency and accuracy.
