Senior Project Manager - Leeds/Sheffield

We are currently recruiting a Senior Project Manager to join a team based in the Leeds/Sheffield area. This is an exciting opportunity for a high calibre individual to join and strengthen this team. The wider team in the Yorkshire region work across many sectors including higher education, residential, manufacturing, logistics, healthcare and more. The opportunity presents an opportunity to work across various projects and client accounts in the UK and Europe while offering an excellent platform to progress, with a very supportive and robust career development structure.

Role Responsibilities

  • To lead and oversee the successful delivery of projects with a view to securing repeat business
  • Contract Administration (which requires a good understanding of building contracts)
  • Implementation and management of a change control process
  • To assist Associates in the management of the Project management team including line management duties where applicable
  • To support development of targeted marketing material, bid documents, capability statements and attend networking events
  • To assist the Project Management Partners in developing a pipeline of opportunities
  • To support in the development of fee proposals and responses to RFPs
  • To support business objectives of delivering value for money in all circumstances
  • To carry out assigned duties efficiently and in accordance with processes and procedures
  • Comply with established procurement/commercial/contractual strategies
  • Take personal responsibility for complying with Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards

Experience:

  • Technical Experience - Understands technical aspects of project delivery from inception to post-completion and is able to identify and promote solutions
  • Managerial Experience - Ability to manage a project from inception to post completion with senior management support, obtaining positive written client feedback
  • Proven experience in delivering projects as the lead Project Manager either as a consultant or client side
  • Experience managing projects across the design, tender and construction stages
  • Proven track record on leading construction projects as a consultant Project Manager to time, cost and quality

Qualifications:

  • Construction Project Management degree or a similar construction related qualification with experience gained within a similar role
  • Chartered or equivalent professional qualification or currently working toward - you will be provided with all the necessary support to help you achieve this
  • Recognised as a client focused, positive collaborator who shares knowledge freely and offers support to their peers and seniors. Recognised as a team player with a strong willingness to learn.
  • Demonstrates a positive and proactive approach to the role, and will be committed to delivering customer service excellence, with good commercial results
