Excellent opportunity for an experienced Specification Manager to join a leading, global manufacturer of construction chemicals.

This role will cover the North region from Manchester to the Scottish borders.

The main requirements of this full-time role will be to ensure the company's products and systems are specified on projects across various sectors of the construction industry.

The successful Specification Manager will ensure the company has an active presence in all major Architectural, Civil and Structural Engineering practices as well as Building Surveyor, & Interior Design offices within their region.

Some of the most important characteristics of the Specification Team is to be a step ahead and to anticipate the Designer/Consultant’s requests, and accurately interpret their project and product performance needs, and turn these into solid specifications of the company's products.

Essential requirements for the Specification Manager include:-

Min 5 years experience within the specification sector particularly within construction chemicals and products.•Minimum 5 GCSE’s or equivalent and professional construction industry qualifications such as Diploma, HNC and have other professional qualifications e.g. CSSW.•Have existing business relationships with, and an active contact list of Engineers, Surveyors, Architects and other specifiers.•Motivation to constantly learn, improve service quality, technical ability and improve day to day processes where possible.•Ability to efficiently organise your time to achieve the best coverage of your territory and clients.•Be a problem solver with a technical mind. Taking on difficult challenges whilst not getting flustered easily. Willing to work with others if you don’t know the answer to a problem to ensure the client is satisfied.•Knowledge of RIBA stages, typical built environment structures and a keen eye for detail.•An understanding of team strategies, aims and goals and how they are implemented and achieved.•Ability to foster long lasting relationships and partnerships;•Necessary people skills required to successfully gain appointments, collaborate with specifiers and your colleagues.•Ability to plan, arrange and attend project meetings with aforementioned specifiers group.•A full UK Driving Licence.•Experience of presenting CPD’s and other presentations to specifier groups.
