Technical Manager, 33kV/132kV Power Networks, Transmission & DistributionLeeds, West Yorkshire£53,000 to £62,000 plus car or allowance + healthcare + pensionJob Ref: J113464As a Technical / Design Manager will be responsible for overseeing the design and technical aspects of ICP and EPC projects up to 132kV across the UK. This role will include leading design and engineering teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining the quality and integrity of technical documentation. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between engineering, project management, and client stakeholders, guaranteeing that design and technical objectives align with project requirements.You will have:· NVQ Level 7, HNC/D or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field· Strong knowledge of UK regulatory and industry standards for electrical connections (G99, G100, ENA, and DNO/DSO requirements).· Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Power Systems Analysis tools) and experience with design documentation management.· Proven track record of leading design teams and collaborating with project management and client stakeholders.· Experience with hybrid working environments and the flexibility to travel for project site visits when required.- Full UK Driving LicenceDesirable Skills· Knowledge of renewable energy systems, battery storage, and electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure.· Project Management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) is advantageous.You will:· Lead and manage the technical and design aspects of ICP and EPC projects· Supervise a design team, providing technical guidance· Develop and review design documentation· Manage the technical interface with clients and stakeholders, addressing design queries and concerns, and providing expert advice.· Conduct regular project reviews · Oversee compliance with regulatory standards, including G99/G100, ENA, DNO, and relevant Health & Safety requirements.· Participate in tendering and proposal processes by providing technical input, scope development, and estimation for new projects.· Ensure continuous improvement of design processes, implementing best practices and industry advancements.This is a hybrid roleWould suit a Design Engineer, a Design Manager, Proposals Manager, a Senior M&E EngineerTo apply speak to Cindy AndersonWe also have roles in Project Engineering, Site Management, Operations Management, Site Engineering, Design, Health and Safety and Compliance
