I am currently seeking a Learning and Development Associate to join a highly regarded law firm based in central Leeds. This is a busy role where you will play a critical role in shaping the future of professional growth across the firm. You’ll collaborate with colleagues across all departments to design and deliver innovative learning initiatives aligned with the firm’s strategic goals.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate experience of working in Learning & Development, you will have experience communication skills along with a passion for helping others succeed.
Key responsibilities:
Develop and deliver engaging training content to support colleagues across all departments, both in-person and virtually.
Proactively conduct learning needs analyses to identify gaps and opportunities, ensuring our training solutions are tailored to the evolving needs of the firm.
Lead interactive workshops (face-to-face and virtual) to foster learning and development across the firm.
Oversee the management of content on our Kallidus Learning Management System ("Learn"), ensuring it’s up to date, tracking user engagement, compliance, and impact evaluation.
Partner with key departments, including project management, HR, recruitment, IT, and fee-earning departments, to create continuous learning opportunities.
Measure the impact of training initiatives using LMS analytics, surveys, and stakeholder feedback. Continuously refine programs to improve their effectiveness.
Be available to travel between offices as required, with the flexibility to work remotely after an initial in-office period.
Key skills and experience:
Demonstrable experience in a Learning and Development role
Strong communication skills
Excellent time management and organisational skills
A positive, can-do attitude with a passion for helping others succeed
Experience with Learning Management Systems (Kallidus preferred but not essential), content creation, and basic troubleshooting. Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate) is an advantage
Familiarity with AI tools like Copilot or large language models, and the ability to support their use in enhancing learning processes, is a strong advantage
High level of mindfulness and emotional intelligence to navigate different learning preferences and workplace dynamics
Desirable skills:
CIPD or equivalent qualifications are beneficial but not essential
Experience supporting the development of apprentices or junior colleagues is beneficial but not essential
Previous experience working remotely or in a hybrid environment
Experience using data-driven approaches to refine learning interventions and track engagement is beneficial
