We're seeking an experienced and ambitious Senior Credit Controller who is ready to take the next step in their career, with a clear pathway towards leadership. As a Senior Credit Controller, you'll play a key role in managing the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Receivable (AR) ledger while supporting the Head of Credit Management in driving and developing the credit control team. Your expertise will help shape the credit management function and contribute to the company's continued success. Key responsibilities include, and will not be limited to;

  • Manage the AR ledger, ensuring accuracy and adherence to credit control policies.
  • Support the Head of Credit Management in leading and motivating the credit control team, including training and development.
  • Oversee the counterparty risk versus exposure process, ensuring compliance and mitigation measures are enforced.
  • Gain a full understanding of the contract database and enforce mitigations agreed during client setup.
  • Leverage technical knowledge of credit management systems, including ERP (D365/FMS), Phoenix, contract databases, and third-party tools like Lasernet and client portals.
  • Apply policies and compliance at all times.
  • Achieve cash and debtor day targets while proactively monitoring and managing payment patterns.
  • Manage disputed and queried invoices, driving resolutions in collaboration with clients and internal teams.
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting
  • Undertake account reconciliations, enforce client contracts, and propose process improvements to drive operational efficiency.

We are targeting a Senior Credit Controller with demonstrated success in a professional and fast-paced credit control environment. Essential knowledge of credit control policies, sales ledger management, and credit management systems. Ideally you will have managed extensive caseloads with competing priorities. Desirable skills include having a systems/ERP proficiency, alongside a solid understanding of Excel and Word. Experience with in-house and third-party credit tools, as well as and understanding of client portals would be a distinct advantage. A proactive and results-driven mindset with strong accountability and ownership. Ability to manage client accounts, including working with senior internal and external stakeholders. An exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality outputs.
