Full-Time Conveyancing Assistant - Crossgates

Are you an experienced conveyancing assistant with over 12 months of experience in property sales and purchases? Join our busy property team in Crossgates! This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, client-focused, and ready to contribute to a thriving legal environment.

About the Role:

In this role, you'll be handling a variety of tasks crucial to the conveyancing process, from opening new files and preparing legal documents to managing client interactions. Accuracy, efficiency, and clear communication are essential, as you'll be responsible for a high volume of work that requires close attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Opening new files, inputting instructions into our Case Management system, and preparing relevant documents
  • Keeping the Case Management system updated in line with team procedures
  • Issuing contracts on sale files and assisting with replies to enquiries
  • Ordering property searches and managing exchanges
  • Setting up completions and issuing mortgage reports to clients
  • Handling incoming mail, telephone inquiries, and general office administration tasks
  • Filing, billing, faxing, photocopying, and archiving as required

Key Skills & Requirements:

  • Proficient IT skills and ability to work accurately
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Strong customer service skills and a client-focused approach
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise workload
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
