Data Analyst - £30,000 - Leeds - Power BI, SQL, SystemOne

My client who is a nonprofit organisation within the healthcare industry are currently looking to hire a Data Analyst. 

Role: Data Analyst

Salary: £30,000

Location: Leeds (Hybrid, 3 days onsite - 2 days WFH)

Role Overview:

  • Their main data is patient related but longer term they want to add all data sources into a data warehouse and interpret.
  • They need somebody who can deal with excel spreadsheets, knows power BI (other languages like SQL) and works with databases/data warehouses.  Much of the warehouse work will be contracted out through a third party but they need somebody at the internally who will manage/interpret and influence the data.
  • They don’t deal in big data, but they do have complex data and relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Information Manager in the development and maintenance of the data warehouse - ensuring it is fit-for-purpose, seamless and secure.
  • Use the data warehouse, SystmOne and other tools to extract data and create reports that deliver real insights and value to our stakeholders.
  • Leads on cleansing and processing of datasets, supporting the analysis of underlying data to create insight into organisation services and activities.
  • Leads on the development of interfaces and reporting dashboards for datasets as defined by specifications.
  • Works closely with the Information Manager in providing data analysis and information insight activities to drive data initiatives across the organisation.
  • Proactively engage with project teams to understand and effectively deliver their data requirements.
  • Performing statistical analysis of data and support the Information Manager presenting data, information, and insight.
  • Monitoring data quality, remove corrupt or erroneous data and highlight new ways to improve data quality.
  • Support the Information Manager in reviewing and assessing internal and external data feeds.
  • Mine and analyse large datasets to interpret trends or patterns and support presentation to Senior Leadership Team.
  • Filter and clean data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to locate and resolve data anomalies / problems.
  • Monitor/audit data quality & integrity and create solutions to fix data problems.
  • Support the Information Manager in documenting business requirements using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Create spreadsheets, data dashboards, graphs, and visualization. Identify, plan, and implement process improvement.
  • Use SQL Server Management Studio (or equivalent) to develop queries to extract and analyse information from large and complex data sets.
