It is a well renowned and much-loved national brand which has been awarded UK 'super brand' status for 20 consecutive years. There is currently a team of 3 and they are looking to massively scale up by the end of the year and expand the team to 6-7 individuals.

THIS ROLE

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be…

Designing and developing scalable and reliable pipelines to ingest and store data from various sources
Working closely with data scientists, analysts, software engineers, and business stakeholders to understand needs and deliver solutions
Leading and guiding less experienced data engineers, providing technical leadership and sharing best practices.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful Senior Data Engineer will have the following skills and experience:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering
Utilising cloud platforms specifically Azure
Utilising best practices - CI/CD
Will still be relatively close to code and therefore have good Python and SQL skills
Experience with utilising Kubernetes, Terraform and Big query
A bit of software experience would be useful
