I'm looking for an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator to join a Microsoft Gold Certified Managed Services Provider, who specialise in DBA and development work. They are a relatively small and close-knit company, who operate on a fully-remote basis, with quarterly meet ups to get together, socialise, and celebrate their successes!

You will work as part of a growing team of DBAs to support their clients with the administration of both their on-premises and Azure-based servers, as well as helping with any migration projects where relevant.

This role is client-facing, so would be suited to someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and providing exceptional customer service in everything that you do.

Everyone on the team takes their turn being on-call, so realistically you can expect to spend 1 week in every couple of months on call (exact rota to be confirmed).

This is a really unique and exciting opportunity to join a successful organisation who are very much involved in the Microsoft community - they are home to a Microsoft MVP, and are active participants at SQLBits.

In return for your hard work, you can expect to receive significant training support towards your Microsoft Certifications, as well as the freedom to explore your areas of interest.

Requirements

  • Strong SQL Server DBA experience, on-premises and ideally on Azure too
  • Experience in database installation, back-up, restore and maintenance
  • Experience with SQL Server high availability and provisioning and configuring
  • Experience working on migration projects to Azure would be beneficial
  • Any experience with SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Power BI would be beneficial
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Benefits

  • Salary up to £65,000 depending on experience
  • Pension matched up to 10%
  • 25 days annual leave, and additional day off for birthday
  • 2 volunteering days per year
  • Paid certifications & training
  • Fully remote working

Please Note: This is a permanent role for UK residents only. This role does not offer Sponsorship. You must have the right to work in the UK with no restrictions. Some of our roles may be subject to successful background checks including a DBS and Credit Check.
