We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of Digital Industries to lead our Digital and IT department at for an FE College based in Leeds.. This role is crucial in shaping the future of digital education and ensuring our curriculum meets the evolving needs of the industry and our learners.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:- Curriculum Leadership: Plan, develop, and deliver an ambitious curriculum that meets the needs of learners and employers, ensuring outstanding outcomes in terms of retention, achievement, success, and progression.
- Strategic Management: Provide strategic leadership and management, contributing to the delivery of strategic objectives across the department and college. This includes financial management, people management, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with local, regional, and national stakeholders, employers, and industry agencies to enhance educational offerings and student opportunities.
- Quality Assurance: Drive high standards in teaching and learning, ensuring the department exceeds national averages in student retention, success, and progression. Implement effective quality assurance measures in line with college policies.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive learning culture and promoting continuous professional development.
- Educational Leadership: Proven experience in managing and leading educational programs, with a strong understanding of digital and IT curriculums.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to shape strategic direction and make informed decisions based on sectoral intelligence and educational trends.
- Stakeholder Management: Excellent skills in engaging with various stakeholders including government agencies, industry experts, and educational bodies.
- Financial Acumen: Experience in managing budgets and financial planning within an educational setting.
- Qualifications: A minimum of a Level 5 teaching qualification, with a professional level 4 qualification and/or degree. Masters or other relevant postgraduate qualifications are desirable.
