An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Marketing and Communications to lead a dedicated team in the public sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and implementing strategic marketing and communications plans.

Description

  • Lead the development and implementation of strategic marketing and communications plans.
  • Manage and develop the Communications & Marketing team within the Strategy & Growth Directorate.
  • Manage a team of marketing and communications professionals.
  • Drive the implementation of an ambitious, sensitive and effective communications and marketing strategy that provides
  • Oversee the creation of effective marketing materials and campaigns.
  • Ensure all communications are accurate, timely, and adhere to brand guidelines.
  • Ensure that communications is championed and included at a strategic level, ensuring its effective use both internally and externally to support the work of the organisation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve organisational goals.
  • Liaise with journalists on both a proactive, and a reactive, basis as required, managing news stories and providing well-drafted statements and media releases.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies and partner's.
  • Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns across various channels, including social media, email, and content marketing.
  • Represent the organisation at events and public meetings.

Profile

A successful Head of Marketing and Communications should have:

  • A degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the public sector.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A strong understanding of marketing trends and techniques.
  • The ability to develop and implement effective marketing strategies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a creative approach.
