Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will lead and inspire a high-performing digital marketing division, whilst acting as the strategic driver behind the growth of each client. As a member of the senior leadership team, you will be an SEO expert and champion, commercially minded & technically skilled, and bring deep understanding of organic search and expertise across the wider performance ecosystem. Roles & Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership:

  • Lead the development & execution of performance marketing strategies across SEO, PPC, affiliate marketing, content, CRO, and customer success.
  • Collaborate with leadership & client teams to define growth strategies that blend organic and paid performance.
  • Align departmental plans with broader agency objectives to support commercial growth and long-term scalability.
Team Leadership:
  • Oversee the strategic & day-to-day operations of the performance marketing division, ensuring effective delivery across all service lines.
  • Directly manage and mentor senior leads across SEO, paid media, CRO, and Customer Success.
  • Cultivate a commercially astute, high performing, & collaborative team culture with a strong focus on professional development
  • Act as the point of escalation for service-level concerns, driving quick and effective resolutions.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and career progression plans.
Commercial Performance:
  • Use data to inform decision-making, driving efficiency across the department, continuous improvement in delivery, and increasing profitability of clients.
  • Lead divisional budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning to support scalable and sustainable growth.
  • Build and manage reporting frameworks to monitor key metrics.
  • Produce regular performance reports, including month-end and year-end summaries, offering insight into outcomes, trends, and areas for optimisation.
SEO & Innovation:
  • Continuously assess & adopt new technologies, tools, and processes, including the use of AI models to drive efficiency and performance.
  • Own & optimise the agency’s SEO vision, ensuring industry-leading technical, on-page, and strategic direction across all clients.
  • Identify & implement opportunities to drive organic growth, improve search visibility, and boost revenue.
  • Champion innovation in SEO, keeping up to date with emerging trends, algorithm updates, and future developments.
Skills & Experience:
  • 8+ years’ experience in a PerformanceMarketing role, 3+ within a Senior Leadership position.
  • SEO expertise is essential, strategy, best practice, delivery, etc.
  • Excellent understanding of PPC, CRO, content marketing, affiliate marketing, and customer success.
  • Proven track record of delivering client growth, operational efficiency, and financial performance.
  • Experience with HubSpot and applying AI tools/automation to increase productivity.
  • Commercial, innovative, and data-driven mindset, with experience building and presenting complex reports.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to confidently present & influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • UK resident with unrestricted right to work in the UK.
