The role

This key strategic Sales role is to lead and execute a cohesive sales and business development strategy for achieving the agreed company’s growth targets across the full portfolio of services.This will involve taking ownership of existing clients and new sales opportunities and maximizing the revenue and profitability from them.Leading and directing a small national sales team of 50+.The objective is to both serve existing clients and also attract business from outside the group by providing an efficient and profitable solution serving complimentary clients.Managing and leading the sales function you will ensure that it positioned to maximise sales opportunities to ensure our client achieves its ambitious growth plans.With excellent commercial acumen, you will recognise when investment needs to be made to support profitable business growth and ensure that the necessary resources are in place to enable the delivery of targets.The SaaS Sales Director - Logistics is responsible for driving new client acquisition, building strong, lasting relationships with mid-to-large-sized companies.A natural strategic and ambassadorial person you will enjoy leading a national sales team in a competitive environment.

This role is based in the North West with National responsibility.

With previous experience of running and leading a sales business unit with full commercial responsibility you will have proven success in achieving product growth, revenue and profit targets.Familiarity with technology and AI solutions, used to working with API’s and knowledgeable on integrations when onboarding new clients. You will also have a strong passion and desire to learn more and make yourself a guru in the sector.Excellent communication skills combined with the intellectual capacity to sell the concept in a trustworthy, personable and professional manner.Resilient, demonstrating confidence in your own ability along with a positive approach.Leadership, willing to take the lead and make difficult decisions.Evaluating and solving problems, able to provide strong logic and objectively interpret data to establish the key facts.Ideally you will have experience in a 3PL, Mail, Pallet Networks, Parcels, General Logistics, Sameday or a similar Service based business.Using your insight and experience to shape the way forward, creating innovation andoutperforming your competitors.Adaptability to thrive within a complex business.You must demonstrate a hunger for success, and be prepared to invest exceptional time and effort to achieve our client's ambitions.Confident and articulate, commanding respect through knowledge experience and personal style, you will have a passion for achieving sales and profit targets.Thriving under pressure you will be capable of managing multiple priorities and working to critical deadlines and objectives.
