Elevation Recruitment Group are representing an established manufacturing business, who are seeking an experienced Trade Compliance Specialist to join their dynamic team.This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact by designing and implementing a robust global Trade Compliance capability, driving best practices across a global network.
As the Trade Compliance Specialist you will:
- Conduct HS tariff classifications across multiple jurisdictions
- Determine preferential and non-preferential country of origin status for products
- Assess and manage the export control classification number (ECCN) of products
- Maintain data accuracy in trade compliance systems (HS, CoO, ECCN)
- Support the management and deployment of Free Trade Agreements across global sites
- Provide expertise in Customs, import, and export control regulations
- Identify and implement special customs regimes (e.g., IP, customs warehousing)
- Conduct internal trade compliance audits of worldwide business operations
- Assist in deploying the Internal Control Programme in collaboration with the Global Trade Compliance Manager
To be considered for the Trade Compliance Specialist role, you will need:
- 3+ years of international import/export regulations, including Customs Authorities, Clearance Procedures, ITAR, and EAR
- Be located within commutable distance to Leeds or Manchester
- Degree or equivalent professional qualifications (preferred)
- Professional certifications in International Trade Compliance are highly desirable
- Experience in an industrial engineering manufacturing environment is advantageous
