Fire Door Joiner – Nationwide Opportunities
A leading provider of compliance solutions across Fire & Security, Electrical, Mechanical, and Building Services is looking for skilled Fire Door Joiners to join their team. Operating nationwide, this company delivers high-quality service, ensuring compliance and customer satisfaction at every level.
Role Overview:
This is a field-based, full-time position requiring travel within a designated region. The Fire Door Joiner will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining fire doors across various sites while maintaining professional relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting fire door inspections in line with industry standards.
- Using a PDA (tablet) to log inspections and follow checklists.
- Carrying out remedial joinery work as required.
- Ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Adhering to safety guidelines and maintaining tools/equipment.
- Keeping company vehicles clean and presentable.
- Working efficiently to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experience in joinery with a relevant qualification or apprenticeship.
- Fire door inspection and remedial experience (preferred but not essential).
- FDIS Fire Door Inspector Qualification (advantageous but not required).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work unsupervised.
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
- Computer literacy for reporting and documentation.
Additional Information:
- Working hours: 08:30 – 17:00 (with a 30-minute lunch break).
- Regular travel and staying away from home will be required as part of the role.
- Salary: Discussed at interview stage.
