Director of Architecture

Conrad Consulting have been retained on an exclusive basis to recruit a Director of Architecture to join an esteemed AJ100 Architectural Practice located in Leeds City Centre.

The successful Architect who must be currently operating at Director or Partner level, will join the main Board of Architectural Directors to lead and develop the business across a broad range of work sectors focusing mainly on commercial and residential development across the UK.

Based in our client's superb central Leeds studio the successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record in project design, business generation of new clients and maintaining existing client relationships that deliver repeat commissions. They will also liaise closely with their colleagues in London and Manchester offices, recognising and promoting cross office opportunity.

Tasks and responsibilities for the Director of Architecture

• Actively undertake focused and coordinated business development to foster and develop new client opportunities for the business including maximising repeat business.
• Uphold and enhance the practice's reputation for design quality and project delivery while optimising financial performance.
• Lead the architectural design of projects.
• Develop and monitor studio and work sector business plans.
• Attend and contribute to meetings, make decisions amidst conflicting demands, and manage client expectations.
• Lead and motivate staff and manage staff relations, contribute to management reviews.

Qualifications & Experience:

• RIBA & ARB Registered Architect
• 10-15 years post qualification experience within Architectural Practice.
• Leading Architectural Design
• Leading external business development and executing an ambitious growth strategy.
• Have an established local network of contacts and relationships.
• Being able to lead and manage a team utilizing the following software packages - Revit, AutoCAD & Microsoft office suit.

Salary & Package for the Director of Architecture

• 80,000 - 100,000 depending on commensurate experience.
• Profit related pay & bonus scheme, paid annually.
• Shares equity discussions post probation.
• 11% employer pension contribution, the employee is not expected to contribute unless they wish.
