Sonic Summary

The Assistant Nursery Practitioner will support the nursery team in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage to enhance the quality of care for children.
The role involves collaboration with a management team and a group of up to 25 practitioners, focusing on the individual needs of children and maintaining partnerships with approximately 80 families.
Candidates must have at least a Level 2 Childcare qualification and an Enhanced Up to Date DBS check, along with eligibility to work in the UK.
Desirable qualifications include working towards a Level 3 Childcare Qualification and training in First Aid and Food Hygiene Level 2.
The position is offered at Band 2, with a salary of £21,000 per year, and candidates should ideally have prior experience in a childcare setting.

Job Summary:

To support the nursery team in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage across the setting to raise and maintain the excellence of the Early Years Provision through quality interaction with the children.

The postholder will work collaboratively with both the management team and part of a team of up to 25 practitioners; assisting with meeting the individual needs of the children whilst sustaining good partnerships with up to 80 families/carers within the setting.

Requirements (Essential):

Minimum of Level 2 Childcare

Safeguarding Children

EYFS Training

Enhanced Up to Date DBS

Evidence of Eligibility to work in the UK

Requirements (Desirable):

Working towards Level 3 Childcare Qualification (NNEB, CACHE, BTEC, NVQ)

First Aid Trained

Food Hygiene Level 2
