We are recruiting a full-time, Early Years Teaching Assistant for a lovely primary school based in Leeds. There could be the option of securing a permanent contract for the right person.
This will be working within their Early Years Provision at a mainstream primary school. Your job role as an Early Years Teaching Assistant would be general classroom assistant duties, 1:1 with children with suspected special educational needs and also small group work.
Qualifications are not essential however, experience with Early Years children within an educational setting is a must.
As an Early Years Teaching Assistant you will be required to have knowledge and experience with the following;
- Phonics schemes- Experience with children with additional needs such as; speech and language, autism, non-verbal etc- To have experience in a UK nursery or school based setting- Educational references dated within the last 2 years

Use specialist skills/training/experience to support pupils and enhance their learning and so progressUndertake programmes linked to local and national learning strategies eg. Literacy, numeracy, EYFS/KS1 recording achievement and progress and feeding back to the teacherPrepare, maintain, and use equipment/resources required to meet the lesson plans/relevant learning activity and assist pupils in their useTo work with small groups of children and to take responsibility for their learningNon-negotiables:
