We are seeking a Teaching Assistant for an EYFS role in Leeds, available as either part-time or full-time. This role requires a good understanding of phonics-based learning programs to support early literacy and language development.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the delivery of phonics programs to enhance early reading and literacy skills
- Assist in creating an engaging and structured EYFS learning environment
- Work with small groups and one-to-one to support children's early development
- Encourage learning through play and interactive activities
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to teachers
- Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive, inclusive environment
- Experience working in an EYFS setting (preferred)
- Strong understanding of phonics packages and early literacy development
- A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting young learners
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
