Level 2 Teaching Assistant Required for a Mainstream Primary School in East Leeds
About the role:
At Engage Education, we’ve specialised in recruiting teaching assistants for over a decade, so we know a bit about finding the ideal school for you. We’re currently looking for an enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work temporarily at a fantastic primary school in East Leeds.
Our team has built an excellent reputation in the local area, and we’re looking for more high-quality teaching assistants to work with these schools to positively impact the progress and attainment of their pupils.
Our Special Needs Teaching Assistants’ duties can include:
- Working with small groups of pupils
- Working on a one-to-one basis with children with additional needs
- Providing personal and emotional care for pupils when needed
- Managing classroom behaviour
- Providing intervention/SATS support for students
The ideal applicant will have:
- Some experience working with young children or in a UK school setting within the last 2 years
- A real passion for education and improving the attainment of pupils
- Bags of creativity for stimulating and engaging pupils'
- Level 3 support staff qualification is desired but is not essential providing you have professional Special Needs experience
The school you will be working in:
- A school with a Good OFSTED rating
- Supportive leadership and a low student-to-teacher ratio.
