Join our dedicated team as a SEND Teaching Assistant in the Leeds LS10 area, working within a specialist setting. This full-time position offers standard hours from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Provide individualised support to children and young people with complex learning, physical, and medical needs, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and engagement in educational activities.
• Assist with personal care routines and medical interventions as required, following school policies and procedures.
• Work closely with teachers, therapists, and healthcare professionals to implement individual education and care plans (IEPs/ICPs), promoting holistic development.
• Maintain effective communication with parents/carers, providing feedback on student progress and supporting home-school partnerships.

Requirements:

• Experience working with children or young people with complex learning, physical, and medical needs, preferably in an educational or care setting.
• Knowledge of SEN/SEND strategies and interventions to support learning and development.
• Ability to adapt and respond to the varying needs of students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and resilience.
• Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
• Eligible to work in the UK without any sponsorship.
