Supply SEN Teaching Assistants

Location: SEN Schools across Leeds

Job Description:

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs (SEN)? Reed is seeking dedicated and experienced Supply SEN Teaching Assistants to work in various SEN schools across Leeds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to students with SEN in a classroom setting.
  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Use specialized communication methods such as Makaton and PECS.
  • Promote positive behavior and support emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create an inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Must have prior experience working in an SEN environment.
  • Training: Ideally trained in Makaton, PECS, Positive Regard, Team Teach, etc.
  • DBS: Must have a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
  • Availability: Must be able to respond to same-day call-outs, which can be booked as early as 07:00 AM.
