We are seeking a passionate and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant primary school team in Leeds with Randstad Education. You will be responsible for providing individual and small group support to pupils, particularly focusing on developing their phonics skills and fostering a love of reading.What you'll be doing:

  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging phonics lessons
  • Working with small groups of students to support their phonics development and reading comprehension
  • Providing individual support to students struggling with phonics and reading
  • Creating and adapting resources to meet the needs of individual learners
  • Working closely with the class teacher to ensure a consistent approach to phonics teaching
  • Communicating effectively with parents and carers about their child's progress
  • Contributing to the positive and supportive learning environment of the classroom
