About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team at a SEN school in Leeds. This full-time position is available immediately and will continue through the rest of the academic year. You will be working with students who have autism and other additional learning needs, providing essential support to help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the educational and social development of students with special needs.
  • Support students individually or in small groups to enhance their learning experience.
  • Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and record students' progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Promote positive behavior and social interactions among students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with special needs, particularly autism.
  • A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach.
