I am looking for candidates with experience of working as a Teaching Assistant, especially people who are experienced in working with different year groups and who have experience of Special Educational Needs or interventions.

Duties

  • Collaborate with the class teacher to plan and implement engaging lessons tailored to the needs of Key Stage One or Key Stage Two students.
  • Provide one-on-one assistance to students helping them to engage with the curriculum and achieve their potential.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere
  • Address behavioural and emotional challenges with sensitivity and effective strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, with a focus on supporting children whether that is within school based roles or working with children.
  • Must be able to demonstrate patience and empathy and have a proactive approach to student support.
  • Ability to be able to foster positive relationships with children and colleagues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a Teaching Assistant certificate or equivalent.
