We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a Year 5 class in a welcoming primary school in the Leeds LS4 area. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to pupils during lessons, helping them engage with the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
- Work with individual students or small groups to support literacy, numeracy, and other key skills.
- Assist with classroom management, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Provide one-to-one support for pupils with additional needs, including SEN and behavioural challenges, fostering their confidence and independence.
- Help prepare and organise classroom resources and materials, supporting the teacher with lesson delivery.
- Encourage positive social interactions and help pupils develop emotional resilience and problem-solving skills.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to the teacher, contributing to individual learning plans.
Requirements:
- Proficient knowledge of the national Key Stage Curriculum.
- Familiarity with diverse teaching approaches suitable for every child.
- Solid comprehension of child development and the learning process.
- Exhibit effective listening and verbal communication skills.
- A commitment to building positive children relationships and addressing their requirements.
- Capable of offering individualised attention, encouragement, and learning support.
- Possess an Enhanced DBS check or willing to obtain one through Randstad.
- Eligibility to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship.
