Electrical/Electronics Engineer

Location: North Yorkshire

Salary: Competitive - dependent on experience

Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday-Thursday: 8:30am-4:30pm, Friday: 8:30am-4:00pm)

Are you an experienced Electrical/Electronics Engineer looking to work on cutting-edge technology for deep-sea and subsea applications? Join a world leader in the design and manufacture of Work Class ROVs (Remotely Operated Vehicles), Observation Class ROVs, Trenchers, and Submarine Rescue Systems. Based in North Yorkshire, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team that delivers innovative solutions for extreme underwater environments.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead and manage design projects from concept to completion.
  • Develop and refine electrical and electronic systems for advanced ROV technology.
  • Provide technical expertise and support across multiple engineering functions.
  • Design PCB layouts, analogue & digital circuits, and perform prototyping.
  • Generate high-quality engineering documentation including schematics and technical reports.
  • Support sales and marketing teams with technical input on proposals.
  • Deliver training and technical support to production and logistics teams.
  • Assist in customer training and after-sales support.
  • Stay ahead of industry developments and contribute to new product innovations.

What We're Looking For

  • Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an engineering design environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, PCB design, and communication protocols.
  • Experience with power distribution, fibre optics, and motor drive systems.
  • Ability to create and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team.
  • Offshore or ROV system design experience (desirable, but not essential).
