Electrical Controls Engineer West Yorkshire Permanent PLC - £50-70k + enhanced pension contribution +
Samuel Frank is recruiting for an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer with excellent PLC programming skills to join a Leeds based specialist engineering business on a staff basis.
Electrical Controls Engineer role will suit an experienced person who has been there and done it with broad experience, who can lead small projects and help out with lesser experienced members of the team.
Key aspects of the Electrical Controls Engineer role include
- Design and specification for electrical controls systems
- Knowledge & understanding Siemens TIA Portal desirable experience of other PLC manufacturers will be considered
- Proven experience in PLC Programming - Ladder, high level programming such as SCL
- Experience in WinCC and HMI designs
- Functional Safety and Safety Programming experience
- SIL knowledge nice to have
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings essential
- CAD experience would be advantageous
- Knowledge of Electrical controls legislation (Regs, LV Directive) - essential
- Site work will be mainly UK based with some international travel expected too Controls Manager estimates roughly 1-2 months per year spilt over various trips as expected time away
- Role is office based when not working on site company is located in Leeds, West Yorkshire
- Working week is 37 hrs per week Mon-Thurs 8.30 4.30pm, Fri 8.30 4.00pm (Flex Fri pm scheme)
The companys office are easily accessible places such as Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Halifax, Harrogate, Wetherby, Selby, Dewsbury, Brighouse, Ilkley, Otley, York, and Knaresborough.
