Main functions of the role:
- To modify existing drawings and create new designs based on a series of design rules
- Production of Electrical Designs from customer specifications
- Attending meetings, both in house and external
- Ensure complete customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities (Rotating Machines):
- Creating new electrical designs based on a series of design rules
- To operate within company guidelines and procedures
- Attending both in-house and external meetings
- Assisting the sales team in costing and preparing quotations for customers
- Direct involvement in providing support and technical knowledge where required
- Liaising with external departments including Sales, Production, Quality, Test and Purchasing.
Key Responsibilities (Transformers):
- The generation of both tender and contract transformer designs
- To meet the requirements for tender/contract design data in accordance with the agreed due dates
- Liaison with external customers and other departments as necessary
- Ensuring that procedures and processes are properly reviewed and worked to
- The continual improvement of quality and environmental standards
- Cooperate and coordinate with production and quality teams to resolve issues and improve design quality
- Continuous development of design processes and procedures
- The maintenance of housekeeping standards dictated by the company
- The proper utilisation and maintenance of all equipment provided for his/her use
- Analysis of Quality Alerts, actioned appropriately and in a timely manner
- Contribution to companywide Transformer Engineering and Manufacturing initiatives
- To ensure the requirements of new technology are assessed and effectively utilised

Qualifications/Skills required for the role:
- GCSEs High school or equivalent;
- Degree or Tertiary Qualification in Electrical Engineering
- Strong Microsoft Office experience, particularly Excel and VBA programming.
- Ability to read Engineering Drawings (Solidworks & Autocad)
- Desirable candidates will have electrical engineering knowledge, specifically basic AC and DC theory, magnetic circuits, electrical design, motors, generators and transformers. Personal characteristics/Attributes required:
