Position Overview:
The Maintenance Electrician will provide planned and reactive electrical maintenance across multiple sites and sectors. Responsibilities include installation, fault-finding, and maintaining various systems while adhering to safety and operational standards. The role is based in Leeds area working primarily but not exclusively Therefore, working across the Yorkshire and surrounding area will be required.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, and installation work on
- Lighting systems
- Electrical distribution boards and circuits
- Fire and intruder alarms
- Pumps, motors, and control systems
- Building Management Systems (BMS)
- HVAC and EV systems
- Perform fault diagnosis, repairs, alterations, and electrical testing.
- Respond promptly to reactive call requests via the Helpdesk Team.
- Participate in on-call service as part of a rota.
- Prepare quotes for installations and repair work.
- Identify non-repairable issues and provide recommendations.
- Utilise CAFM systems for task tracking and updates.
- Adhere to site safety regulations and promote sustainable practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
- NVQ Level 3, AM2, City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing.
- Previous experience in electrical maintenance and installation.
- Proven ability to maintain and repair electrical systems with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving and technical skills.
- Ability to work to high-quality standards and meet deadlines.
- PC literate with good written and verbal communication.
- Full driving license.
Package:
- Salary; £36,563 per annum plus On-call payment of £1950 per annum for being On-call 1 week in 4.
- Overtime paid at 1.5 x hourly rate (time and a half) after 37.5 hours worked.
- Normal hours will be 08:00 – 16:00, from Monday to Friday.
- 30 minutes travel time each way per day in own time.
