We are excited to offer an opportunity for a highly skilled Principal Channels Architect to join one of our prestigious clients on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This organisation has been dedicated to helping its members save for their future and achieve home ownership since 1845.

As a Principal Channels Architect, you'll play a pivotal role in their largest transformation programme to date, serving as the technical authority for all channel solutions. This historic transformation will see the replacement of their core banking systems with a modern SaaS cloud ecosystem, and your expertise will be crucial in defining the target architecture and developing transition roadmaps.

What you'll do:

  • Ensure strategic architectural integrity in the core programme, the largest transformation in 140 years.
  • Lead the replacement of core banking systems with a modern SaaS cloud ecosystem.
  • Develop target architecture and detailed transition plans.
  • Review high-level designs created by Solution Architects.
  • Provide strategic technical direction for the transformation programme.
  • Utilise your experience multi-channel experience to drive the transformation.

What you'll need:

  • Proven track record in lead architecture roles within transformational change, particularly using Microsoft Cloud technologies.
  • Specialist knowledge in multi-channel technologies such as digital experience, identity and access management, content management, voice and IVR, and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Skilled in utilising public cloud platforms and delivering cloud-native and hybrid cloud solutions.
  • Strong senior stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Familiarity with modern architectural approaches (API-centric, containerisation, microservices, event-driven).
  • Experience in creating and driving technology roadmaps within large, complex transformation programmes.
