Job Title: Legionella Risk Assessor / Surveyor / Treatment Engineer
Location: Remote (Leeds / Sheffield-based, covering Midlands to Newcastle)
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum + Van + Fuel Card
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Are you an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor / Surveyor / Treatment Engineer looking for a new opportunity? We are seeking a skilled professional, to work across a diverse portfolio of sites, including universities, schools, and prisons.
This is a remote role where you will manage your own diary, with travel required from the Midlands up to Newcastle. If you have a strong background in Legionella risk assessment, compliance, and water hygiene, we’d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Legionella Risk Assessments on hot and cold-water systems in compliance with HSG 274 and ACoP L8 guidelines.
- Carry out maintenance and installation tasks as required.
- Produce detailed risk assessment reports and schematic drawings.
- Develop and update Legionella management plans, ensuring clients are fully informed on compliance measures.
- Provide expert consultancy and advice to clients regarding Legionella control.
- Ensure all work complies with industry regulations and safety standards.
What We’re Looking For:
- City & Guilds / WMSoc qualification in Legionella Risk Assessing (essential).
- Previous experience with a reputable Legionella/Water Hygiene company.
- Strong knowledge of HSG 274 and ACoP L8.
- Hands-on experience conducting risk assessments and control measures.
- Proficiency in IT systems for producing reports and drawings.
- Confined Space certificate (desirable but not essential).
- Self-motivated and organised, able to manage your own workload.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the Midlands to Newcastle.
